This adds a distinctive layer of ripe fruit, white grapes, pear, vanilla, and subtle sweetness to the rich character of the bourbon. On the palate, notes of raisin, citrus, butterscotch, cinnamon, and oak emerge, followed by a warm, peppery finish. But BLACKENED is not just about what is inside the bottle. The brand is famous for its innovative “Black Noise” process, in which low-frequency sound waves from music are used to influence the interaction between the whiskey and its oak barrels during maturation.
