Antique French Art Deco Uranium Custard Glass Boudoir Lamp – "Made in France" – c. 1930s An exceptionally rare and beautifully preserved French Art Deco boudoir table lamp dating from the mid-1930s. This exquisite piece features a central body crafted from opaque "custard" uranium glass (known in France as ouraline). In natural daylight, the glass has a soft, elegant cream-mint hue. When exposed to ultraviolet light (UV 395 and 365/ blacklight), the glass bursts into a spectacular, intense neon-green fluorescence—a hallmark of genuine, high-quality uranium glass. The glowing glass body is elegantly framed by a classic, solid brass/bronze fluted base, which is clearly stamped on the bottom with "MADE IN FRANCE". The lamp is crowned with its dome-shaped fabric shade finished with a romantic, dusty-pink tassel fringe that diffuses a warm, intimate glow. true collector's "time capsule" item.
