BAUME & MERCIER PRIMA “BABY” CHRONOGRAPH Square-shaped chronograph wristwatch in 18K gold (750 parts per thousand), white dial, black minute track, black tachymeter scale, applied arrow-shaped hour markers and Arabic numerals, small seconds at 9 o’clock, 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, blued sword-shaped hands. Clip-on case back in 18K gold (750 thousandths) signed Baume & Mercier Genève, numbered 97698, with “Gunther & Co SA” hallmark on the inside (hammerhead hallmark 117). Hand-wound mechanical chronograph movement signed Baume & Mercier Genève, based on the Valjoux 69. 18K gold (750 thousandths) “Oyster-style” riveted, extendable bracelet with a scale clasp. The watch and chronograph were functional at the time of appraisal; however, there is no guarantee of future operation or the condition of the parts; servicing is recommended. Scratches on the case and bracelet, marks on the dial, partially restored dial, some signs of restoration/varnish.
