Baltic Amber and 925 Silver Earrings

atural pear-shaped amber cabochons, suspended on 925 silver lever-back findings. The cognac and cherry hues of the stone, threaded with golden reflections and fine natural inclusions, beautifully catch the light with the slightest movement. Baltic amber is a fossilized resin over 40 million years old, born from the conifer forests that once covered northern Europe. Carried by the sea, it washes up on the shores of Poland, Lithuania and Kaliningrad, where it is still gathered after storms, a amber-picking tradition that spans several centuries. The Romans already called it the “gold of the North” and traded it at gold prices for entire trade routes. Solar stone par excellence, amber is traditionally associated with warmth, vitality and grounding. It is believed to have soothing properties, capable of absorbing negative energies and fostering self-confidence. -----‎---‎ The lever-back is a hinged closure system, renowned for its reliability: once clipped, the earring backing stays securely in place, with no risk of slipping or loss. 1.
