Baccarat - Decanter (2) - Harcourt 1841 - Crystal - Pair of bottles

This pair of splendid decanters can be identified as the famous Harcourt 1841 crystal carafe, made by the prestigious French manufactory Baccarat. The Harcourt 1841 collection represents the oldest and most iconic line present in the archives of the French house. The unmistakable visual elements that certify its design include: • The solid, geometric hexagonal base, which provides stability and a unique architectural footprint. • The six flat-cut facets that catch and reflect the light, enhancing the brilliance typical of pure crystal. • The characteristic geometric-diamond-shaped milled stopper crowning the bottle neck. • The neck is long and cylindrical, marked by vertical facets that recall the body’s craftsmanship. At the base of the neck there is a faceted raised ring, a typical element of antique crystalware that serves both as decoration and as a safety grip to prevent the hand from slipping during service. • The upper mouth ends with a flared, hexagonal edgelip, perfectly shaped to accommodate the stopper. They do not bear a mark, made before the introduction in the 1930s... They have numbers on the neck, internally, 7 and 13... Good condition with normal signs of age and wear.
