Toile de Jouy Gobelin Azzurro – Heavy Fabric for Custom Furnishings 270 x 280 cm Discover the timeless charm of Toile de Jouy in the blue Gobelin version, a heavy, substantial fabric ideal for opaque curtains, elegant table covers, bedspreads and characterful upholstery. The motif depicts delicate pastoral and romantic scenes in powder blue woven on a warm ivory background, with a slightly lustrous hand that enhances folds, draping and the richness of the design. Born in the eighteenth century in Jouy-en-Josas, near Versailles, Toile de Jouy has become an icon of French taste, chosen by nobility and the upper middle class to decorate salons, boudoirs and bedrooms with refined atmospheres. Today this classic motif is offered on sturdy Gobelin fabrics, perfect for a contemporary interior design that seeks a balance between history, romance and functionality. With this blue variant you can create: - Elegant blackout curtains for bright living rooms, bedrooms and bow-windows. - Tablecloths, runners and lambrequins for dining rooms with shabby chic or French country styling. - Weavings such as bedspreads, maxi cushions and coverings for armchairs, chairs or benches with a fresh, sophisticated touch. Indicative details: - Heavy Gobelin jacquard fabric, full, dense hand, designed for furnishings. - Toile de Jouy pattern in blue on an ivory background. - Ideal for upholstery, curtains, bedspreads, table coverings, cushions, headboards and textile screens. Washing and Care - Professional dry cleaning recommended to preserve structure and definition of the motif. - Alternatively, delicate cycle in cold water with neutral detergent and light spin. - Do not bleach, do not use a dryer. - Iron on the reverse at low temperature with a protective cloth.
