B. Morah - Bosque Ingrávido 163 XL (No Reserve)

BOSQUE INGRÁVIDO 163 is part of a series inspired by Magritte and contemporary surrealism. This work is part of a series that sublimates the natural and the impossible in a single vision. In “Weightless Forest,” the trunks float without roots, stripped of the gravity that binds them to the ground. The landscape becomes a stage for the improbable: a forest that is not held by the laws of physics, but by the rules of imagination. The reference to Magritte is not casual: like him, the artist invites us to contemplate a world where the everyday becomes strange, and the impossible, evident. The trees suspended in the air compel us to rethink the concept of what is organic and what is stable, while the chromatic play—with electric blues, incandescent reds, and deep shadows—intensifies the dreamlike atmosphere. This series raises essential questions: What happens when we remove the weight from nature? Can weightlessness reveal another dimension of the landscape, one more emotional than physical? “Weightless Forest” is both a metaphor and a provocation, a visual liberation act that defies logic to reveal a new poetic space. “Weightless Forest” in itself evokes a powerful image: floating trees that challenge not only physics but also our perception of what a forest should be. - About the artist: The artist has exhibited her work in Almería, Spain; Dortmund, Germany; Porto Alegre, Brazil; Colegio de España in Paris; Galerie Art & Planét, Paris, France; Los Angeles, California, USA; Montreal, Canada; Vienna, Austria; Barcelona, Spain; New York, USA, among others. - Technical details of the work: Acrylic on high-quality cotton canvas Dimensions: 100 cm x 75 cm (+ free margin) Signed on the back and protected with varnish Original certificate of authenticity hand-signed - Clarifying note: Colors may vary slightly depending on the monitor configuration and the space lighting where the photograph was taken.
