Australian Boulder Opal Pendant – Radiant Play of Color...

This impressive Boulder Opal pendant from Australia displays an exceptionally intense and vibrant play of color. Across the light-blue to turquoise appearance of the opal surface runs a dense play-of-color of bright pink, violet, vivid blue, green, orange and red, which reveals new color nuances and patterns with every viewing angle. Particularly striking are the fine, almost cloud-like color patterns that spread across the entire stone and evoke an abstract underwater landscape. The natural dark ironstone areas provide a striking contrast to the bright, intensely iridescent opal portions and underscore the original formation of Boulder Opal. The elaborate polishing gives the surface a deep shine, making the numerous color changes appear especially brilliant. The irregular natural drawing, combined with the bold color blocks and the characteristic inclusions, makes this specimen a distinctly individual piece of Australian opal art. An extraordinary collector’s stone with intense color presence and fascinating natural structure, whose impact unfolds anew from every angle. Stone: Natural Boulder Opal Weight: 129.50ct Size: 35 x 36.5 x 13.8 mm Treatment: None (Untreated) Origin: Australia Our shipping costs have been checked and approved by Catawiki.
