Assorted Roscommon Militia Insignia. A very good Victorian era selection including a scarce silvered Officer’s Waist Belt, with a circlet inscribed ‘Roscommon Regiment’ and a seeded centre mounted with a Victorian crowned Harp and the Maid of Erin, an unusual pattern with five shamrocks upon each shoulder, each part with matching bench marked stamps ‘3’, service worn and polished; a die-stamped white metal example Other Ranks Glengarry Badge, circa. 1874-81, with a Victorian crown surmounting a Harp and the Maid of Erin to the voided centre, shrouded with a spray of shamrocks, above a regimental title scroll ‘Roscommon’, the reverse with two loops north and south (see K.K. 1297) very good condition; Collar Badges (4) two matching white metal pairs, with a Harp and the Maid of Erin within a spray of shamrocks, the reverses with two loop copper fixings, very good condition.
