全部拍賣 / Carpets, Rugs & Textile / Antique Persian Heriz Serapi Squarish Rug - 12 ft x 10 ft 6 in (3.65 m x 3.2 m)
Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs Antique Persian Heriz Serapi Squarish Rug Size: 12 ft x 10 ft 6 in (3.65 m x 3.2 m) Provenance: Property of a retired New York dealer A bold antique Heriz centered by a powerful geometric medallion in dark navy, ivory, and muted blue, set against a vivid madder-red field. Large angular floral forms and ivory corner spandrels create the commanding graphic character for which Heriz carpets are admired. Its generous room size, saturated naturalistic coloration and strong central design make it one of the most immediately recognizable and decorative carpets in this group. Condition Request Condition Report Lot # 504 presents well overall, with a generally even pile across the field. Both ends have been reconstructed and are not original. No major restorations are apparent, though there are a few localized areas of repiling and wool replacement, executed with reasonable skill and not overly conspicuous. Overall, the carpet remains visually balanced, decorative, and suitable for immediate use. Please contact our rug experts at auction@nazmiyal.com or call us for any questions you may have at 212.545.8029. Please note that all lots are sold "AS IS. The absence of a condition report does not imply the item is in perfect condition.
