全部拍賣 / Carpets, Rugs & Textile / Antique Persian Heriz Serapi Rug - Circa 1900 - 7 ft 4 in x 4 ft 7
Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs Antique Persian Heriz Serapi Rug - Circa 1900 Size: 7 ft 4 in x 4 ft 7 in (2.23 m x 1.39 m) Provenance: Property of a New York dealer A bold antique Serapi rug centered upon a vertical succession of powerful geometric medallions. Brilliant reds, deep blues, ivory accents, hooked forms, and small tribal devices create the unmistakable visual rhythm associated with village weaving from northwestern Persia. Its elongated proportions and highly graphic drawing give it considerable decorative strength, while the individuality of its motifs preserves the character of the original weaver’s hand. Condition Request Condition Report Lot #584 is in fair to good condition. The pile is low and even with minor scattered tinted areas in the rug. Both ends are complete and hand secured. Both sides are securely finished. There is no dryness in the foundation. The rug is clean and floor-ready. Please contact our rug experts at auction@nazmiyal.com or call us for any questions you may have at 212.545.8029. Please note that all lots are sold "AS IS. " Condition reports are given as a courtesy to our clients and shall not be deemed as a guarantee of the lot's condition, quality, and authenticity. The absence of a condition report does not imply the item is in perfect condition.
