全部拍賣 / Sculptures / Antique Gilt-Brass Figure, Standing Royal Thai Buddha, Phra Song Khruang
Rattanakosin Period, 19th century. Stands atop an elaborately tiered pedestal base, finely decorated with intricate patterns and motifs typical of the period. Crafted in gilt brass, the statue is richly adorned with ornate detailing that includes elaborate repousse work, delicate floral designs, and repeating ornamental elements. The figure is depicted in a classic standing posture with both arms raised, each hand displaying a graceful mudra. Its head is surmounted by a crown-like spire, which has become detached and is included separately. The figure's facial expression is serene, with downcast eyes and a composed countenance that exudes calm and reverence. The base is adorned with layered moldings, each tier featuring repeating lotus petal motifs and other stylized embellishments. The statue's flowing robe is richly patterned with elaborate floral and geometric motifs, continuing the decorative theme across the figure's entire form. The reverse of the statue reveals additional ornamental detail, along with signs of age and wear consistent with centuries of existence. The gilding, though worn in places. Approximate measurements without spire: 5.5"L x 5"W x 21"H. Approximate measurements with spire: 5.5"L x 5"W x 23.25"H. Dimensions: See Description Condition Request Condition Report Age related wear.
