Anne Lisette Boysen (American, 1939-2011), The Coming of Spring

Private Collection, New Bern, North Carolina Anne Lisette Boysen was a Philadelphia-based painter known for her vibrant landscapes, abstract florals, and expressive compositions in oil, acrylic, and mixed media. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Temple University and studied art at the Philadelphia College of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. After working as a school psychologist, she devoted herself fully to painting in the early 1980s. Her work received numerous awards, including first prizes from the Berks Art Alliance, Main Line Art Impressions, and the 1984 Artist Equity Triennial competition in Philadelphia. Her paintings were acquired by corporate and institutional collections, including the Fox Chase Cancer Center. In 2005, she published Art of Exuberance, a collection of her paintings reflecting her lifelong inspiration from nature, music, and color. Good estate condition.
