Angelo Lelii (Italy, 1911-1989), Triennale Floor Lamp

Designed in 1947 for Arredoluce, three adjustable painted metal conical shades in white, grey and black, polished steel arms with stitched black leather counterweights, black painted standard with stitched black leather sheath, marble base, stamped "Made in Italy" to top of standard. 66 x 33 x 33 in. Angelo Lelii’s lamps and lighting objects stand out for their extremely simple designs that strive for minimal complexity and for their strong sense of unadorned sensitivity.
