全部拍賣 / Arts & Graphics / Andy Warhol (1928-1987) - Statue of Liberty 1963 - Pop...
Iconic art print after Andy Warhol – “Statue of Liberty” (1963) (small format) For offer is a high-quality art print after a characteristic work by Andy Warhol. Andy Warhol is among the most important artists of the 20th century and a central figure of Pop Art. His works are globally established and command exceptionally high demand on the international art market. The motif “Statue of Liberty” from 1963 is among the well-known ideas in his oeuvre. The depiction of one of the most important symbols of the USA combines national iconography with Warhol’s characteristic serial imagery and reflects his engagement with mass culture and repetition. Precisely such motifs are among Warhol’s sought-after works, as they show his distinctive combination of symbol, repetition, and clear color impact in a particularly striking way and have a high recognizability. The present art print was high-quality produced in offset printing on sturdy paper and originates from a publishing production dating from around 1990. The compact format of about 35.5 × 28 cm makes the work versatile. Directly sourced from publisher stock and professionally stored away from light since then.
