Ca. 1353 - 1335 BC. A pottery jar with a globular body narrowing to a tall cylindrical neck with a thickened everted rim. The neck is encircled by horizontal bands in red, blue and black, with a frieze of upright blue petals alternating with red stamens. The shoulder is decorated with a broad register of waterfowl in flight among papyrus stalks. The lower body is left plain. For similar see: Sotheby's, Sculpture and Works of Art, 5 July 2024, Lot. 117. Size: 510mm x 350mm; Weight: 6kg Provenance: Prince Collection, 1990s�2014; ex. private collection, 1970s�1990s.
