Alta Umbria - Alta Umbria - Table service (17)...

Elegant and articulated collection of Italian artistic ceramics Ceramiche Alta Umbria (Perugia), characterized by refined hand-done multicolored floral decorations on an ivory background with a distinctive speckled finish. The ensemble presents a remarkable stylistic harmony: flowers in cobalt blue, pink, red, orange and yellow intertwine with olive green leaves and small ornamental motifs, creating a lively and charming composition. The collection includes several types of decorative and table objects: * Grand ornamental vase with a tall, flared neck. * Two coordinated vases with floral decorations. * Vase with lid and knob. * Bulbous container with lid and side handles. * Five decorated teacups. * Ornamental plates and trays of various shapes and sizes. * Advertising ceramic ashtray, with coordinated floral decoration. Manufacture and origin One piece bears on the base the original label “Ceramiche Alta Umbria, lavorato a mano, Italy (PG)”, evidence of artisanal Umbrian ceramic production. Particularly interesting is the presence of an advertising ashtray bearing the inscription “Ceresa Angelo – Casalinghi Elettrodomestici.” The reference corresponds to a homeware business in Sannazzaro de’ Burgondi, in the province of Pavia, the locality from which the entire collection originates. This coincidence suggests a possible link between the commercial distribution of the ceramics and the local shop, offering an interesting element of history and provenance. The direct connection with the manufacture, however, remains to be documented. Characteristics * Italian production, Perugia area. * Artistic ceramic with multicolored floral decorations. * Handcrafting and hand decoration. * Ivory speckled finish with earth-tone details. * Presence of original manufacturer label on at least one piece. * Advertising ashtray referring to a local commercial business. A particularly decorative collection, interesting for enthusiasts of Italian artistic ceramics, vintage objects, and testimonies of 20th-century commercial history.
