This framed artwork is an original engraving, the dry tip made by the famous Swedish painter and engraver (1855-1938) Allan Osterlind, who spent much of his life in France. His engravings and dry tips are distinguished by a stroke that is both lively and fluid, often featuring naturalistic subjects, genre scenes or traditional dancer. The drawing represents a young woman of rural or bohemian style in the foreground, wearing a laced corset and a loose shirt. Probably she is a traditional dancer.
