The frame shows slight signs of age. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: ㅤ Alfredo Opisso was a Spanish painter and illustrator belonging to the Opisso artistic family, linked to the Catalan cultural milieu of the 19th and 20th centuries. His work relates to figurative painting, portraiture and scenes of a costumbrista nature, within the Catalan artistic tradition. ㅤ The work presents affinities with social-life painting from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, especially with the compositions of Ramón Casas, Toulouse-Lautrec and Jean Béraud. These references manifest in the elegant ambience, characterisation of the figures and the interest in bourgeois social gatherings. ㅤ The composition recreates a lively social scene on a period terrace, with several figures dressed in elegant attire.
