Today I'm feeling happy (n.007-ARTF.) (n.488) Dimensions: 75.00 cm x 55.00 cm x 1.00 cm Ink on wooden panel Unframed; ready to hang It is a painting inspired by exploring the female universe. Each piece is securely packaged, wrapped and protected for shipping and will arrive in a completely secure package. I use DHL/UPS couriers: shipping to Europe arrives in 24/48 hours; international shipping arrives in 48/72 hours. Some delays may be caused by customs clearance at borders. Shipping takes about 7 days; about 10 days for non-EU countries. A tracking number is provided. Different light sources can give photos different colors. The amount should be between 10% and 20% of the artwork's value. Following a first period dedicated to sculpture there was a prolonged pause that lasted a while. Since December 2014 I have resumed with the "two dimensions", leaving sculpture behind and dedicating myself to acrylic paintings. I love painting abstract landscapes but recently I am pushing myself to also paint faces of people, both imaginary and real. For me, painting is about "freezing time" in that exact moment; one of my paintings is often a faded memory and therefore my works are "worn, eroded by time". Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are street walls, also eroded by time, with moss and mushrooms that over time grow on the surface. Time that passes inexorably is the main theme of my works. Coming from a wonderful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch, and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs that are easily perceptible both by touch and to the naked eye. Recently, after several years in which my works were made from small pieces of recycled paper forming figures, I am pushing myself to explore Optical Art where I use painted wooden discs arranged in lines and grids with mathematical precision that, when viewed up close, seem to form an abstract colorful painting, but as you move away a figure emerges from the many painted wood discs. Violence against women is a theme that characterizes almost all of my works when I reproduce female faces, precisely to give them a voice when they do not have the strength or courage to report that they are not their partner's dolls and cannot be mistreated or, worse, victims of violence.
