Hand-decorated porcelain figure that is part of the set of four small porcelain figures titled: Le Fiabe: "Cappuccetto Rosso". The series "Le Fiabe" (Fairy Tales) is intended for both adults who lovingly remember their childhood and children who enjoy role-playing characters from well-known stories. The girl in the red cloak ("Cappuccetto Rosso"), the smiling wolf ("Il Lupo"), the grandmother ("La Nonna"), and the hunter ("il Cacciatore") are, of course, characters from the famous Little Red Riding Hood tale, the first story represented in the designs of this magical collection. The four small hand-decorated porcelain figures presented here have been created in the designer’s characteristic style. Massimo Giacon’s attention to humor, as well as to detail and the meticulous finish of his small works of art, make them the perfect gift for children, collectors, and followers of the Alessi brand. Once upon a time there was a girl named Little Red Riding Hood, a very sweet little girl who wore a hooded cape of red velvet. One day, her mother asked her to take wine and focaccia to her sick grandmother, who lived in the forest. She warned her not to stray from the path, but when she reached the forest, Little Red Riding Hood met the wolf and began talking to him, telling him where her grandmother lived. The wolf ran to the grandmother’s house, swallowed her in one bite, and donned her clothes. He then lay in wait in the bed for Little Red Riding Hood to arrive. When the girl entered her grandmother’s house, she did not recognize the wolf in disguise. Without a moment’s hesitation, the wolf jumped from the bed and ate the girl; then he returned to bed and started snoring. A wolf hunter happened to be passing by. Curious, he approached. Seeing the wolf, he understood that he had eaten the grandmother, so he killed the animal and opened his stomach. Out came the grandmother and Little Red Riding Hood, safe and sound. Dimensions: 3 x 3 cm - height 4.5 cm Massimo Giacón, born in Padua, Italy, in 1961, is a comic artist and illustrator, a reference in the renewal of Italian comics. He divides his time as a graphic designer, designer, musician, and artist. LPWK, metaproject designer, Laura Polinoro graduated in DAMS in Bologna. In 1989 she wrote “L’officina Alessi. Alberto Alessi and Alessandro Mendini: ten years of projects, 1980-1990”. In 1990, with Alberto Alessi and Alessandro Mendini, she founded the Alessi Studies Center (CSA), a place of experimentation that involves professionals and young creatives from various disciplines. There she conducted workshops and created innovative collections proposing the concept of metaproject. Since 2000 she has continued her collaboration by founding and leading LPWK Design Studio.
