Alessi - Alessandro Mendini

Alessi — design lot of 4 objects — Anna G., Girotondo and inox citrus juicer Colorfully assembled lot of four Alessi objects, where playful design and daily use meet. The lot consists of: • Anna G.-corkscrew by Alessandro Mendini, with turquoise dress, contrasting orange collar and chrome-plated parts. The smiling face and movable arms make this design immediately recognizable. • Large green Girotondo basket by King-Kong, the design duo Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini. Executed in lacquered metal with the characteristic pattern of cut-out figures. • Smaller black Girotondo basket, also with the recognizable figurine motif. At the bottom marked “A di Alessi — Italy — King-Kong”. • Hand-operated Alessi citrus juicer in inox 18/10, with press cone, perforated sieve section and collection bowl. Marked “Alessi — Inox 18/10 — Italy”. Condition: All four objects have been used. The green basket shows visible paint damage, especially along the upper rim, with locally brownish spots, scratches and other signs of use. The black basket shows surface scratches and wear on the underside. The citrus juicer and corkscrew also show use and surface signs.
