Albert Einstein; Maurice Solovine - Les fondements de la...

First French edition of Albert Einstein’s Les Fondements de la Théorie de la Relativité Générale, published in Paris by Hermann et Cie, 1933. Translated from the German by Maurice Solovine. The volume also includes Einstein’s writings on a unified theory of gravitation and electricity and on the cosmological structure of space. An important early French edition of Einstein’s work, in good overall condition for its age, with the original printed wrappers and portrait frontispiece. Some expected signs of age and handling to the covers and binding, while the interior remains well preserved. A desirable copy for collectors of the history of modern physics, relativity, and early 20th-century scientific literature.
