AESTHETIC INTENSE GREEN EPIDOTE

From our selection of collectible minerals we present a splendid group of crystals on a matrix of Epidote from Nascio, Val Graveglia, Genoa, Liguria, Italy. Additionally, it is characterized by numerous prismatic and acicular crystals of intense green color, shining and gemmy in appearance, arranged in radiating and cross-cut aggregates on a light contrasting matrix, which enhance its aesthetic value and mineralogical importance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that exalt its natural structure and visual impact. Epidote is a calcium aluminum sorosilicate whose typical pistachio-green color is due to the presence of trivalent iron in the crystal structure. Val Graveglia, inland from Genoa, is one of Italy’s most famous historic localities for collecting epidote in splendid well-formed crystals, often associated with metamorphic formations linked to ancient hydrothermal manifestations. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also within crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with rare exceptions always indicated in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight tonal variations may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
