Æ (XX-XXI) - BUNDLE!! – LEGO Ninjago & Space – Set of 2...

Æ2381 (Spain, b. 1977) – “BUNDLE – LEGO Ninjago & Space” (2026) – Hand-signed, numbered & CoA BUNDLE!! You are bidding on 2 original artworks by Æ, bringing together two iconic LEGO universes — Ninjago and classic Space — hand-finished, hand-signed and individually numbered from a **limited edition of only 4**. ◉ Total size: 37 × 44 cm. Two artworks, each measuring 37 × 22 cm. ◉ Original ink-inspired mixed-media artworks by artist Æ. **Limited edition of only 4 unique variations.** ◉ Hand-finished using spray paint and pastel crayons. Hand-signed and individually numbered. ◉ Authenticated with a holographic seal of authenticity on the included certificate card. ◉ Created on acid-free Hahnemühle rice paper for Sumi-e (“black ink”), ensuring museum-quality archival standards. ◉ Officially registered and catalogued in the artist’s archive. This striking monochrome set of two artworks brings together two contrasting worlds of LEGO imagination: the ancient warrior mythology of Ninjago and the optimistic futuristic exploration of classic LEGO Space. The Ninjago composition transforms the masked ninja into the protagonist of an imaginary 1975 Japanese science-fiction and manga publication. Samurai philosophy, traditional Japanese architecture and botanical imagery collide with technical diagrams, futuristic typography and underground editorial design, creating a mysterious vision suspended somewhere between ancient Japan and an unknown future. In the companion artwork, a classic LEGO astronaut becomes “The Hero of the Future” — a solitary cosmic explorer presented through the visual language of a forgotten Japanese science-fiction magazine. Spacecraft diagrams, distant planets, lunar landscapes and fragments of imagined scientific documentation surround the astronaut, evoking the fascination with space exploration and technology that defined the 1970s. Together, the two artworks create a playful dialogue between past and future, warrior and explorer, tradition and technology. The ninja journeys inward through discipline and mythology; the astronaut journeys outward toward unknown worlds. Despite their contrasting subjects, both become explorers of mysterious territories. Each composition combines intricate details, distressed printing textures, halftones, screentones, engraved elements, bold Japanese typography and analogue imperfections. The result recalls rare underground manga and science-fiction publications weathered by decades of use and rediscovered in the present. Artist and designer Æ (Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Design and Multimedia Technologies, Barcelona, 2004; Bachelor’s Degree in East Asian Studies) has developed a distinctive artistic language inspired by Japanese visual culture, minimalism, conceptual art, vintage manga and graphic design. His works are held in private collections in more than 30 countries, including The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Æ’s artworks are recognised for their restrained monochrome palette, bold contrasts and carefully balanced compositions. By combining minimalist forms with intricate engraved textures, symbolic imagery and references to Japanese visual culture, he creates emotionally evocative works that blur the boundaries between traditional printmaking, contemporary illustration and pop culture. His unique visual language has become highly appreciated by collectors seeking original limited editions inspired by Japanese cinema, anime, manga and iconic characters. The artist was the subject of a review by respected exhibition curator Thierry Fournier (Artnoises): “Collected AE (XX), it comes down to wanting, breaking, transgressing an invisible border, merging the civilizational DNA of the future and the past. The work becomes a ticket, a simple ‘go!’ for emotional teleportation lived entirely in black and white. Æ2381 invites us to leap into a timeless world populated by symbols, images and unexplored signs.” — Thierry Fournier (Artnoises) ★★★★★ * All photographs represent the artworks as accurately as possible. Slight colour variations may occur depending on monitor calibration and lighting conditions. ** Carefully packed and shipped immediately after payment with appropriate insurance and tracking. Combined shipping is available when purchasing multiple lots. *** The framed image shown is for presentation purposes only and is not included. We are a PRO and TOP seller. Bid with confidence backed by 100% positive feedback. Every artwork is carefully packaged and includes the extras described in this listing.
