Adolf Böhm (1844–?) – Monk at Venetian church portal – Oil on canvas – Signed Description Atmospheric and detailed 19th-century painting by Adolf Böhm (1844–?), signed bottom left “Ad. Böhm.” The work shows a monk at the monumental entrance of a church or cloister, with doves on the square in the foreground. The artist paid great attention to the architecture, the weathered masonry and the Gothic sculptural decorations of the portal.
