A PAIR OF MANUSCRIPT COVERS

Tibet, 13th/14th c. 11.5 × 41.5 cm. Carved in shallow relief with remains of gilding and red paint. Border and central panel decorated with stylized tendrils, the centre carved with a hamsa bird and a Khyung mask respectively. The front carved with floral pattern. 西藏，十三至十四世紀，11.5 × 41.5 釐米。 淺浮雕雕琢，殘存鎏金與紅彩。邊框與主區飾卷草紋樣，兩件護板中心分別雕刻神鵝與瓊鳥面具。板面正面刻花卉紋。 來源：2008 年購自楚格市曼弗雷德・維基；瑞士私人收藏。 druck bild
