A PAIR OF LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH ORMOLU MOUNTED JAPONAISERIE VASES circa 1875-80, of flattened pear shape with a pair of handles, with silvered and gilt bronze pierced mounts to the rims and raised on gilt bronze bases, each with a porcelain panel with silvered decoration with flowers and moths, the bodies painted with a lady in kimono holding a fan and a male figure with a katana sword, on a silver ground, both depicting amongst gilt trees and foliage, the reverse with painted birds perched on gilt blossom branches, 32cm high (2) Good condition. sculpture
