全部拍賣 / Ethnographic / a massive cluster of fossil cephalopods - Fossilised...
ALBIAN BLOCK A composition of cephalopod mollusks dating back to about 60-70 million years ago, when the terrible impact of an asteroid on Earth decreed the end of the Cretaceous–Paleogene period. The natural scenario that followed marked the end of many terrestrial lifeforms but fully involved the entire marine ecosystem as well. The asteroid's devastating impact on Earth had among its most terrible consequences also the formation of numerous anomalous waves that gathered on beaches and among rocks the shells of cephalopod mollusks. Looking at this composition one cannot help but be fascinated by the distinctive violet iridescence. Suggestive. A true sculpture, to be observed from every angle and capable of conveying unique emotions and impressions. A timeless design piece that will never go unnoticed, an object that will make any wunderkammer unique… an auction lot absolutely to be conquered. A necessary clarification. The final image of our photographic gallery is obtained with the help of AI software. The purpose is purely aesthetic yet also illustrative: it shows the real object inside an artificially generated scenography. The aim is to show how precious the auction objects are and how well they pose in different environments, all highly refined. Thank you for your attention. Happy bidding.
