A DIVISION ONE TRANSFERRED PORCELAIN PICTORIAL BUTTON

1 Medium 19th century "Liverpool" full body dog example. From the collection of the late Don and Barb Lanier. Buttons like this are called Liverpool transfers as they appear to be of the kind of quality and design crafted in Liverpool in the 1800's, however they are most likely French. This dog example is mounted in a brass setting and is a beautifully executed colorful enamel set with a cut steel border. Dimensions: SM=Less than 3/4", Medium=3/4" to 1 1/4".
