2022 Tenuta Perano Rialzi

Rialzi 2022 represents the ultimate expression of Tenuta Perano, the Frescobaldi family property located in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the municipality of Gaiole in Chianti. The wine is born from Sangiovese coming from the Rialzi vineyard, located at 500 meters in altitude and above, characterized by three natural terraces – the “rialzi” from which the name is derived – with a southwest exposure and alberese soils. These particular conditions contribute to give the wine structure, elegance, and a significant ability to evolve. The grapes are hand-harvested and subjected to a further careful selection once in the winery. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature, with maceration on the skins and gentle remontages. Particularly important is the long aging: the wine matures for a total of 36 months, of which 24 in barriques, followed by a further aging period in bottle before commercialization. In appearance, Rialzi 2022 presents a deep and brilliant ruby red. The bouquet is wide and elegant, with notes of sour cherry and blackberry, followed by floral nuances of wild rose and elegant tertiary hints of coffee beans and tobacco. On the palate it is full, warm and dry, with a soft and silky tannic texture and an extremely long and persistent finish. Lot of 6 bottles, as shown in the photographs.
