2013 Quintarelli Giuseppe - Valpolicella Classico Superiore - 1 Magnum (1.5L)

Giuseppe Quintarelli – Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2013 Magnum Prestigious 1.5 liter Magnum of Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2013 produced by Giuseppe Quintarelli, one of the most famous and sought-after producers of the Valpolicella Classica. Quintarelli's Valpolicella Classico Superiore is one of the winery’s emblematic wines and perfectly embodies the family’s traditional philosophy: manual harvest, careful selection of the grapes, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and a very long aging in large Slavonian oak casks. For 2013, an aging of about 5-7 years in cask is indicated, depending on the source. The 2013 vintage offers an elegant and complex profile, with aromas of cherry and ripe red fruits, berries, spices, aromatic herbs and light balsamic notes. On the palate it is structured and intense, with refined tannins, good freshness and a long, persistent finish. The 1.5-liter Magnum format is particularly interesting for storage: the larger volume-to-cork surface ratio favors slower, more gradual evolution compared to the standard bottle. The 2013 Magnum is a format marketed by the winery and is available in this vintage from several specialized retailers. Wine and winery history The Giuseppe Quintarelli winery, located on the hills of Negrar in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, is one of the most important realities in Venetian wine tradition. Giuseppe Quintarelli built the fame of his company through a philosophy based on limited productions, strict grape selection, traditional fermentations and very long aging. After his passing in 2012, the family has continued to follow the same production approach. Valpolicella Classico Superiore is one of the estate’s historic wines. The prolonged aging in large Slavonian oak casks contributes to the wine’s complexity and longevity, without masking the character of the grapes and the territory. To drink now or to keep To be enjoyed now or to be further aged. The 2013 is now a mature wine and can be tasted, but the Magnum format and Quintarelli’s typical Valpolicella Superiore structure make it particularly suitable for aging. Vinous indicates a drinking window starting from 2021, while other sources emphasize the wine’s potential for evolution thanks to its structure, tannins and long aging. For tasting, serve at around 18-20 °C, with a brief oxygen exposure before service if desired. Shipping method The Magnum will be carefully packaged with professional material specifically designed for large-format wine bottles, with shock protection and proper stabilization during transport. Shipping will be carried out via trackable courier, using reinforced packaging specifically designed to protect the bottle during transport.
