2009 Châteauneuf du Pape

The 2009 Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Le Vieux Télégraphe is a rich and profound cuvée, born from a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Clairette, complemented by a higher proportion of Mourvèdre, particularly well suited to the quality of the vintage. The color precedes a generous nose in which ripe red and black fruits, kirsch, spices and garigue notes express themselves. On the palate, the wine is distinguished by a generous, velvety texture, at once rich, round and perfectly balanced. Notes of aromatic herbs, licorice, bay leaf and spices bring complexity and freshness, while the finish stretches into beautiful flavors of red and black cherry. A Châteauneuf-du-Pape of great depth, endowed with remarkable aging potential.
