The 2009 vintage is particularly renowned for its concentration and richness. It offers notes of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), pepper, licorice, as well as evolved hints of leather, smoked meat, and black olive. The Crozes-Hermitage "La Guiraude" 2009 by Alain Graillot received a score of 93/100 from Robert Parker (The Wine Advocate, December 2011).
