Lot of 12 bottles of Château St. Estève d'Uchaux - Côtes du Rhône 1988 (Special 'Couderwater' Bottling) A unique set of 12 bottles of Château St. Estève d'Uchaux from the historic vintage 1988. Located in the heart of the Massif d'Uchaux in the southern Rhône Valley, this château is renowned for its distinctive wines with excellent aging potential. What makes this lot particularly special is the specific "Couderwater" imprint on the label. This indicates an exclusive, historic selection or import for a specific client or destination (such as the historic Couderwater estate), lending the bottles wonderful character and added collector's value. Wine: Château St. Estève d'Uchaux Appellation: AOC Côtes du Rhône Vintage: 1988 (38 years old) Number of bottles: 12 Fill level: Very consistent and excellent for the age; all high in the neck, with one slightly lower. No bottle shows abnormally low levels or active leakage. Label condition: The labels show authentic signs of age, staining, and patina consistent with long-term cellar storage; two labels is slightly loose and three are slightly damaged (see photos). Capsule condition: The original red metal capsules are fully intact. One bottle shows slight, and two even lighter natural cellar mold on the top of the capsule, which attests to good, humid cellar storage that has protected the corks from drying out over the decades. A magnificent lot for collectors of vintage 1988 bottlings. Registered and insured shipping.
