"1812" Captain Isaac Hull, USS Constitution vs. HMS Guerriere Medal.

"1812" Captain Isaac Hull, USS Constitution vs. HMS Guerriere Medal. Julian NA-12. Copper, Bronzed. MS-65 BN (NGC). 65.0 mm. Deep, rich antique mahogany and autumn-orange brown color blankets both sides of this frosty to appreciably semi-reflective example. Fully struck throughout, expertly preserved, and distraction free apart from a trivial handling mark in he upper right obverse field. The prominent rim cud on the reverse at 10 o'clock is in a similar state to that seen on the specimen in the West Point collection, struck circa 1885. Provenance: From the Henry Mitchell Collection. Purchased from John Kraljevich, January 2013. Click here for certification details from NGC.
