1799 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-167, B-14. Rarity-3. VF-30 (PCGS).

1799 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-167, B-14. Rarity-3. VF-30 (PCGS). BB Die State II. The BB-167 is only a median scarcity among 1799 silver dollar die parings in an absolute sense, but enough exist in popular collector grades such as Choice VF that the variety is often used to represent the Draped Bust, Heraldic Eagle silver dollar in type sets. This example is richly toned in mottled reddish-apricot and cobalt blue over a base of somewhat glossy pewter gray. Nice, bold, well balanced detail for the assigned grade. Provenance: From a Collection of American Silver Classics. PCGS# 6878. NGC ID: 24X7. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
