13pc Collection of Pan American World Airways Stock Certificates

A collection of vintage stock certificates for Pan American World Airways, Inc., incorporated in New York. The assortment includes denominations for 100 shares in pink and denominations for less than 100 shares in sepia. Each document features an engraved vignette of an eagle with outstretched wings above dual globes, flanked by allegorical figures. The certificates bear the printed signatures of President J. T. Trippe and Secretary A. Preston Morris, with the transfer agent signature for Bankers Trust Company. Examples are dated between 1954 and 1959, with reverse sides showing transfer assignments to firms including Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith and Harris, Upham & Co.
